Description
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation by Stern Pinball immerses players in the fast-paced, high-stakes world of forensic science based on the hit CBS television series. Designed by Pat Lawlor, this game puts players directly in the shoes of a crime scene investigator alongside Gil Grissom, Catherine Willows, and the Las Vegas forensic team. Players must gather physical evidence, examine crime scenes, run laboratory tests, and piece together clues to solve cases and catch criminals.
The playfield is packed with interactive, forensic-themed mechanical features that bring the show’s signature laboratory procedures to life:
-
Centrifuge Unit: A spinning mechanical device that captures, spins, and redirects the ball to simulate lab sample processing.
-
Microscope Ramp & Skull Target: A unique playfield section featuring a skull target that triggers special investigative modes, alongside a optical microscope-themed ramp layout.
-
DNA & Autopsy Playfield Toys: Interactive playfield elements including an anatomical body torso and DNA strand assemblies that hold and release balls during active cases.
-
Deep Case-Solving Ruleset: Multiple distinct mystery cases to solve, culminating in high-scoring wizard modes and stacked multi-ball features driven by authentic show sound effects and callouts.
Whether you’re analyzing fiber samples or chasing down suspects, CSI combines deep tactical shot selections with a dark, suspenseful atmosphere that appeals to both fans of the show and dedicated pinball players.
